Dunn Square

Dunn Square was purchased by Sir William Dunn for £4000.His intentions were to prevent it being built upon and to make it a quiet retreat, hence the beautiful gardens. It also offered a suitable setting for the statues of the Coats brothers, Queen Victoria and the fresh water drinking fountain.
