Dunn Square

Dunn Square was purchased by Sir William Dunn for £4000.

He intended to prevent it from being built upon and to make it a quiet retreat, hence the beautiful gardens.

The square was also a suitable setting for the statues of the Coats brothers, Queen Victoria, and Sir William Dunn, freshwater drinking fountain.
