Record Easter Bunny Article 16 March 2013

Paisley’s Easter Bunny is only a hop, skip and jump away from staging this year’s Eggstra-ordinary Easter egg hunt. Hordes of youngsters are in for a shell of a time when they go on the annual quest of searching for the chocolate treasures. And this year’s Easter egg hunt is sure to go down a treat, thanks to the generous donation from Paisley’s Tannahill SNP group. Newly-elected women’s officer Mhairi Black handed over the chocs to none other than the Easter Bunny himself. Mhairi said: “It was a privilege to be able to meet Paisley’s Easter Bunny and donate the Easter eggs to him on behalf of the branch. “I hope the children have a great day on the Easter egg hunt and we are only too happy to support local initiatives like this that take people around our great town.” Paisley businessman and Renfrewshire councillor Will Mylet, who runs West of Scotland Removals, said he too was delighted at the donation. Will said: “As the owner of a small local business, I was delighted to be able to give something back to the local community. “I had the opportunity to meet Paisley’s Easter Bunny and donate some Easter eggs to give children a fun day at the Easter egg hunt. “My own children have attended some events and not only do they have a fun day, they learn some of the history of their great town.” Paisley’s Easter egg hunt is on Saturday, March 30, at noon. The meeting point is Abbey Close and tickets are £3.
